This is our first season running rentals from our new basecamp - land many people knew as Northern Wilderness Outfitters (NWO).
We’re Chris and Ella, and Driftwood Paddle has always been about something deeper than trips.
It’s about creating space…
to reconnect with nature, with each other, and with yourself.
Taking stewardship of this place felt like a natural step.
A chance to bring that intention to the very beginning of the journey.
Whether it’s your first paddle or your tenth season,
we’re grateful to be part of where it begins.
and carry what matters most - letting the rest go.
A Launchpad for Something More
This isn’t just a place people pass through.
People arrive from different lives - different cities, different realities
but often with a similar feeling:
that it’s time to step away for a while.
And something shifts here.
The pace softens.
People linger a little longer.
Conversations start more easily.
There’s a shared intention — even if no one says it out loud:
To slow down.
To reconnect.
